Yalla Hurriya Celebrates Its First Graduating Cohort in Istanbul

November 8, 2026

Yalla Hurriya, the youth wing of the Al Hurriya Liberal Network (AHLN), marked an important stage in its development in Istanbul on September 5, 2026. The gathering brought together young liberals from across the Middle East and North Africa for the conclusion of the “From Voices to Policy” series, the graduation of its first cohort, and its first General Assembly.

Designed by Yalla Hurriya head Rami Hafez, the final session took the form of a working lab focused on moving from political ideas towards practical policy work. It brought the 2025–2026 learning series to a close while providing a setting for participants to consider how to carry their work forward.

The gathering was the fourth Yalla Hurriya training. Across the programme, participants had opportunities to develop their leadership skills, deepen their understanding of liberal values, and build relationships with young political and civic actors from across the region.

The graduation followed the launch of AHLN’s Youth Committee in Amman in May 2025. During that inaugural training, participants worked together to define the committee’s mandate, shared vision, and action plan—establishing a foundation for youth-led cooperation within the network.
