Myrna Mneimneh
AHLN President
Myrna Mneimneh is a Lebanese politician and human rights advocate who works extensively across the MENA region to advance freedom, empower youth and women, and foster inclusive dialogue. Myrna serves as International Secretary and Political Bureau Member of the Future Movement, and is the Vice Chair of the Human Rights Committee at Liberal International.
She is the founder of WoMENA in Politics, an AHLN initiative committed to enhancing women’s political participation and leadership across the Arab world. Myrna also leads the Arab Youth Union for Freedom and Democracy, bringing together young liberal voices from across the region. Her previous roles include Vice President of IFLRY (International Federation of Liberal Youth) and General Coordinator for Expatriates at the Future Movement.
Myrna holds two master’s degrees—Political Science and Modern and Contemporary History—as well as bachelor’s degrees in Industrial Psychology and Geopolitics.

Ahmed Samer
Chair of AHLN’s Membership Committee
Ahmed Samer, is the Chair of AHLN’s Membership Committee and the President of the Egyptian Liberal Forum (ELF). He is also the former Secretary-General of the Free Egyptians Party and the founder of the Secularists Movement. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce and is a renowned voice-over artist.

Yamen Akkari
AHLN Vice President
Yamen Akkari, AHLN Vice President and Chair of the Proposals, Development, and Fundraising Committee, has been a member of the Central Council of Tunisia’s Afek Tounes since 2019. Since 2014, he has served as a lawyer at the Tunisian Court of Appeals. Before joining Afek Tounes, Yamen was a member of the central committee of Machrou Tounes (MPT). Active in civil society, Yamen was the founder and Secretary-General to the Tunisian-Euro-Mediterranean Association of Youth. He holds a Master’s degree in Anglo-American Law and a BA in Law. He is a local expert to Varieties of Democracy (V-Dem Institute, the Department of Political Science at the University of Gothenburg, Sweden).

Ghassan Kalash
Director of Operations
Ghassan Kalash, Director of Operations, Future Movement, is a solutions-driven professional with more than 15 years of experience in managing programs. Through his efforts, he drives growth, competitive advantage, and transformative change for organizations. Ghassan has a proven record of building and executing end-to-end strategies, managing major milestones while adapting to change and shifting priorities. He has extensive experience in leading regional and cross-functional teams to deliver strategic initiatives and objectives in alignment with organizational strategies.

Rafif Jouejati
Chair of AHLN’s Communications Committee
Rafif Jouejati is the Chair of AHLN’s Communications Committee and the Vice President of Ahrar – The Syrian Liberal Party. She has been advocating for human rights and democracy in Syria since the beginning of the Syrian Revolution in 2011. Her activities include serving as President of the Board at Nonviolence International; President of the Board at Baytna; and Executive Director of the Foundation to Restore Education and Equality in Syria (FREE-Syria). She is a frequent speaker on developments in Syria and has authored numerous articles, book chapters, and op-eds. Rafif holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations and a Master’s degree in Strategic Communication. A management consultant by profession, Rafif specializes in business development, strategic planning, and organizational development.

Loubna Amhair
Chair of AHLN’s WoMENA Committee
Loubna Amhair currently serves as the Chair of AHLN’s WoMENA Committee. She served as a Member of the Moroccan Parliament from 2011 to 2016, sitting on the Finances and Economic Development Committee and then serving as Rapporteur of the Committee of Foreign Affairs and National Defense.
As a member of the State Secretary to the Rural Development Cabinet, Loubna supported the design of programs and public policies aiming to strengthen the role played by rural women as agents of change and drivers of rural sustainable development. She is the Vice President of the International Network of Liberal Women for the MENA region; an advisory board member of Mina's List, an international NGO working on women's political leadership empowerment; and a member of the Forward Global Women NGO working on peace and security and UNSCR 1325. She is also a member of the Parliamentarians for Climate Network (P4C). Loubna is a Harvard Kennedy School graduate.

Rami Hafez
Chair of the Youth Chapter at AHLN
Rami Hafez currently serves as Chair of the Youth Chapter at AHLN, where he focuses on institutionalizing youth engagement and cultivating the next generation of political leadership. Rami is a civic and policy strategist with a background in industrial engineering and a strong record of leading youth and political initiatives across the Middle East, Europe, and Africa. He is a member of the International Affairs team at the Future Movement and previously served on the Future Youth International Relations Committee from 2020 to 2024, playing a key role in expanding the movement’s global reach and youth engagement strategy.
Rami also served as Vice President of the International Federation of Liberal Youth (IFLRY), leading global programs on migration, liberal democracy, and civic participation. A graduate of the Liberal International Democratic Training Academy (LIDTA), he has spearheaded initiatives across Latin America, Africa, and the MENA region, securing grants and building coalitions to advance democratic values.
