
The Liberal Freedom Network held its sixth general assembly in Amman: the joining of new parties and recommendations for a more democratic future

AHLN Liberal Freedom Network held its sixth general assembly in the Jordanian capital, Amman under the slogan: Our network is at work.. Exploring the changing landscape in the Middle East and North Africa region with the participation of representatives of parties and nepotistic associations in the network and in the presence of representatives of strategic partners of the network "FNF, SILC, VVD" President of the network Myrna Menimena opened the works of the General Assembly where she gave a speech in which she welcomed all the attendees and emphasized the message of AHLN in strengthening the liberal voice and that true stability in the Middle East and North Africa is only achieved through democracy and acceptance of the other, not violence and chaos. Menimina also reviewed the activities and achievements of the network in the past year, which reflected the network's ability to evolve and adapt in the changing landscape in the Middle East and North Africa. As were the words of the representatives of the strategic network partners, both FNF MENA Regional Director Jorg Dennhart, Program Manager at FNF Mena Ayat Majali, Program Manager at SILC Edina Martin, and VVD Manager Luke Peters, they emphasized the importance of cooperation and collective coordination, as well as the importance of dialogue and disseminating liberal values in the shadow of Changes experienced in the Middle East and North Africa. The session witnessed the vote for acceptance of full membership of all: Constitutional Union Party from Morocco, Freedom and Citizenship Organization Mauritania, Egyptian Democratic Foundation, Ibn Khaldoun Studies Center, International Network for Liberal Women, SASSA Organization, and the vote for membership of both the Jordanian National Union Party and the National Bloc Party The Lebanese as an observer also approved recommendations and project decisions from both the future stream on reducing the voting age, the adoption of the women's quota, the Popular Movement Party on peace, coexistence and preservation of universal values in the region and the Egyptian Liberal Forum on the agriculture sector and the water and food security file. The session also introduces the presentation of the Liberal Award in the Middle East and North Africa Region to the President of the Egyptian Liberal Forum, the late Dr. Mahmoud Al-Alayeli, in honor of his memory and his career in promoting liberal values in the region, and the award was received on behalf of his family, the President of the Forum Ahmed Abdel Fattah, and in the initiative of a banner, the award was named after him in honor of him. On the margin of the General Assembly, two workshops were held for the Communication and Media Committee, the Youth Committee and the Executive Office meeting.
