Dear friends and partners,
The Al Hurriya Liberal Network was created to give voice to a generation that refuses to accept limits on freedom, justice, and opportunity. Across the MENA region, we see a powerful energy rising from women and youth—an energy that demands to be heard and trusted with leadership. This energy, combined with our region’s immense resources, diversity, and tradition of resilience, gives us every reason to believe in a brighter tomorrow.
Our mission is to transform optimism into action. AHLN’s vision of liberalism is not an abstract ideal but a practical roadmap for change. We recognize the urgency of challenges such as migration, climate change, inequality, and ongoing conflicts. But we also see in these challenges the opportunity to advance reconciliation, strengthen transitional justice, and prove that diversity can be a force for unity rather than division. Where violence and exclusion have left scars, we aim to cultivate collaboration, fairness, and innovation. This spirit of inclusiveness is at the heart of our work, reminding us that no community, no voice, should be left behind.
What makes AHLN unique is the way we move forward—together. Our network thrives on dialogue, solidarity, and the belief that collective action is stronger than individual effort. We embrace the richness of our differences and channel them into new ideas, smarter policies, and creative solutions. With every exchange of experience, with every partnership we build, we grow not only as a network but as a movement for liberal change in the region.
To our members, your commitment has built a living community that proves collaboration can overcome division. To those who are not yet part of us, this is an open invitation: join AHLN in shaping a liberal horizon for our region. Together, we can unlock the promise of our youth, ensure equality for women, and harness innovation to build a MENA defined not by its struggles, but by its potential.
With determination and hope,
Myrna Mneimneh
AHLN President
